Whether your vented gas logs won't light, your direct vent fireplace is acting up, or your gas fire pit has lost its spark, this is the service you need. Our certified technician will diagnose and troubleshoot your appliance, identify the issue, and get you back to enjoying your fireplace.

A Level 1 inspection of your fireplace and venting system per NFPA 211. (NFPA 211 stands for the Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents, and Solid Fuel-Burning Appliances. Published by the National Fire Protection Association, it is the primary national guideline that chimney inspectors, sweeps, and contractors use to safely evaluate, install, and maintain venting systems.)

NFPA 211, the national standard for chimneys and fireplaces, recommends that venting systems be inspected at least once per year. A Level 1 inspection covers
all readily accessible areas of your fireplace, smoke chamber, and chimney. Checking for blockages, creosote buildup, structural issues, and proper operation.

A Level 2 inspection is a more comprehensive evaluation that goes beyond readily accessible areas. Per NFPA 211, a Level 2 is required when a property is sold or transferred, when a new appliance is connected, or after any event that may have caused damage to the chimney, including a chimney fire, earthquake, or severe weather event.

unvented systems have different requirements, clearances, and gas supply needs. Having a certified professional handle the installation protects your home and your warranty.

CHASE COVER (RAIN PAN)
​​The single most important thing you can do to protect your pre-fab chimney from water damage.

A chase cover sits atop the chimney chase on pre-fabricated fireplace systems and prevents rain, debris, and animals from entering. Without one or with a deteriorated one, water intrudes into your chimney system, causing rust, rot, liner damage, and expensive repairs.

Why It Matters: Water is a chimney's worst enemy. Our chase covers are built from
galvanized steel with a protective, scratch-resistant flat black coating, a durable, one-time
investment that prevents thousands of dollars in future repairs. If yours is rusted, damaged, or
missing, this is urgent.

DECORATIVE SHROUD
Function meets curb appeal.

A decorative chimney shroud protects your chase cover and flue termination while dramatically improving the exterior appearance of your home. Available in a variety of styles to complement your roofline.

Please note: Not all fireplace systems are compatible with decorative shrouds. Because shrouds must be tested and listed by the fireplace manufacturer as part of the system, they are only permitted on models where the manufacturer has approved their use. Our technician will confirm compatibility before any order is placed.​​​

CHIMNEY CAP
​​The cap that protects your masonry chimney flue from the outside in.
​
A chimney cap covers the flue opening on masonry chimneys, keeping out rain, animals, and debris while also functioning as a spark arrestor. Without one, your exposed flue is vulnerable to water intrusion, animal nesting, and debris blockages, all of which create fire hazards and expensive damage.

Why It Matters: A missing or deteriorated chimney cap is one of the most common — and
most preventable — causes of chimney damage. Unlike a simple flue cap, our full-coverage
Masonry chimney caps protect the entire top of the chimney structure — not just the flue opening.
This matters especially in our region, where many homes lack a traditional chimney crown.
Without that crown or a proper cap, water penetrates the entire masonry structure, accelerating
deterioration from the top down.

This service is designed for returning customers whose gas appliance is operating normally and who have documentation of prior service (either performed by us or provided via a previous inspection report). If your appliance is functioning properly and you want to keep it maintained and refreshed heading into the season, this is the service for you.
What's Included:

Media refresh, replenishment of lava rocks, glowing embers, sand, or vermiculite as appropriate for your unit.

Annual maintenance check of your gas appliance.

If you have a reported operational issue with your appliance, a Gas Appliance Service ($299) is required instead of this service.
